all the books i read in march and what i thought of them

All the books I read in March and what I thought of them Help someone please get me off this bus I am so squished and my backpack doesn't fit in the footwell. I am going to have an aneurysm. Anyway, I read 10 books in March, largely over spring break. It is now a month later at the time of writing and I did get off the bus, and the man sitting next to me squished me significantly less after I started writing the blog post, so I think he must have been looking over my shoulder. He is a twitter user, which is a red flag in men, but at least he is not inconsiderate. Although he should have been more careful of his elbows to begin with. Your Fathers, Where Are They? And the Prophets, Do They Live Forever? by Dave Eggers rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I read this book on the T when I was going to visit my friend Chaney. I could not put it down. The main character is SO funny. This man kidnaps people and brings them to a military base and then fails to understand the gravity of his actions. I like t...

all the books i read in february and what i thought of them

All the books I read in February and what I thought of them The second to last time I went back to school after a break was in September and I forgot how to read; this last time, it is not so much that I forgot how to read and more that I forgot how to do my homework, so I kept procrastinating and then not having any time to read. I also finished Elena Ferrante's series, and am I really going to stay up until 3 reading a book by someone else ? Elena Ferrante is the only author for me. That's empirically false.  I only read three books this month so I also have my receiptify at the end so it will be a more interesting blog post. ✨✨✨ Men in the Sun and Other Palestinian Stories by Ghassan Kanafani rating: ⭐⭐⭐ I don't like short stories. The one about the horse was kind of neat. A fun fact about the author is that Israel and Lebanon assassinated him in revenge for the Lod Airport Massacre and then that time a Palestinian militant organization took the Israeli athletes hostage...

all the books i read in january and what i thought of them

All the books I read in January and what I thought of them I was at home on break for a majority of this month so I started this very unsustainable streak wherein I finished a book every day. Then I went back to school and this was no longer possible. All I wanted to do over break was sleep and read. I think this was the life I was meant to be living. I hate society. Instead of getting a college degree and a real job, I think I should become a professional book blogger and only do things I completely enjoy. Or I could become a heiress. If anyone wants to leave me a large sum of money in their will, please let me know.  ✨✨✨ Life and Death Are Wearing Me Out by Mo Yan rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I was expecting this book to be more exciting, but it turned out to mostly be about this guy vibing as he successively gets reincarnated as different animals. Actually, I think he is too angsty to be described as "vibing." But it was a fun book. 🐂🐖🐕 The Wide Window by Lemony Snicket (reread) ratin...

some statistics and trends in the books i read last year

Some statistics and trends in the books I read last year I think I've always been in my pleasantly displayed data era, but it was only this year I learned how to make pie charts in google sheets. Except they didn't turn out very well, so I just googled "make a pie chart" and found a website that makes pie charts. And now I am going to subject you to my pie charts. This chart displays the genres of the books I read. Since the small slices of the pie chart don't have labels, I will helpfully inform you that I also read three alleged nonfiction books, two thrillers, two sci fi books, one YA historical fiction book, one fanfiction, one children's book, and one book that I categorized as "bad" because I'm not really sure what genre Anxious People fits into, but I sure didn't like it. The alleged nonfiction books were books that consider themselves nonfiction, but I did not feel comfortable putting in categories with books that make true claims abo...
